Have you ever thought of trying out yoga but felt discouraged because you cannot find a class nor a teacher who will meet your needs and yet make you feel comfortable? No need for you to hide anymore because Yogabowl is having a 9-week yoga course for women who identify themselves as plus-size.

Yoga is not a one-size-fits-all exercise. Everyone regardless of their age, physical condition or weight can do and practice yoga.

In fact, yoga is essentially designed as a non-competitive practice that if given with the right teaching and support, it would allow and help each person to feel calm, free, and wonderful about themselves.

Yogabowl’s plus-size yoga is happening every Tuesday from 7:15 p.m. until 8:15 p.m. at the Lane Cove Tennis Club in Longueville. This is a 9-week course that runs from April until May 2019.

Attire and Accessories

The attire for this yoga class is definitely up to what you feel comfortable wearing when sitting or lying on the floor. There is no need for you to look or copy a certain style or way. You can either opt to wear leggings, tracky dacks, lounge pants, shorts, your favourite pyjama pants, and match it with a t-shirt, or singlet… it seriously doesn’t matter. You may also do yoga in socks or bare feet, or whatever you feel most comfortable in.

For accessories, you may bring your own yoga mat if you wish to do so. But if you don’t have any, Yogabowl has plenty of mats that you can readily use and borrow. Other yoga accessories needed will also be provided. Also, feel free to bring your own face towels and water bottles for your own convenience.
